Zig, a software supplier for social housing, takes over Xitres. This is a software spear for the commercial real estate market. The acquisition of Xitres fits in ZIG’s strategy to extend to commercial housing. Main Capital Partners has a majority stake in both companies. The investor will also maintain this after the transaction has been completed.
ZIG, which started in 2001, has grown in recent years under the umbrella of Main Capital from a smaller player in the housing corporation market to one of the largest IT houses there. After the investor entered in 2021, the Huizen company took over various parties: Skarp, Casix and Cegeka Real Estate Solutions. In particular the acquisition in 2023 of the Cegeka branch, a large supplier of primary packages for social housing, Was a hit. The company grew to around 270 employees with customers such as the Alliance, Rochdale, Social Landlords Haaglanden, DUWO, MOOILAND, click for living, at home in Limburg, Elkien, Bouwinvest and ASR
With Xitres there, ZIG can now also assert itself in the commercial real estate sector. The product range of this company is complementary to that of the corporation automatist. Xitres is a software supplier, aimed in 2007, aimed at commercial housing. The Hengelo company offers customer relationship management (CRM: Customer Relationship Management) solutions with which users can manage the customer process digitally during the sales and rental process.
Internationalization
Around 35 people work at Xitres, who serve real estate managers, including Vesteda, MVGM and BPD Woningfonds, and project developers such as Van Wonen, AM and Van Wijnen. Main Capital boarded in July 2024. With the support of this investor, Xitres took over Hartje Wonen in February 2025, with which the company strengthened its offer for new construction projects.
For the combined group there are also opportunities for further internationalization, thanks in part to the acquisition by ZIG of the German renovation management software company Doozer in 2024, which also focuses on the commercial housing market.
